ATLANTA - We are thrilled to announce that over $1M has been raised for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through Friday Night Live (FNL) event at the CHEERSPORT National All Star Championship, produced by Varsity All-Star, a Varsity Spirit brand.

This year, the championship hosted over 30,000 participants representing over 1,400 teams at the event in downtown Atlanta. Friday night of the championship kicks off with an event known as Friday Night Live, a fundraiser for St. Jude, where athletes, coaches, and fans team up and rally around the mission of St. Jude – to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.

Since the inception of Friday Night Live in 2015, and with the help and efforts of the top All Star teams across the country, Friday Night Live at CHEERSPORT has raised over $1,149,000 for St. Jude.

Before heading to compete in Atlanta, teams fundraised for St. Jude and spread awareness through their team’s social media accounts. 20 teams were able to share their story before taking the mat to showcase their skills.

The fan favorites and top fundraising teams for the Friday Night Live 2024 were:

  • Cheer Express – Miss Silver raising $81,028
  • Cheer Florida – Sea Warriors raising $75,904
  • University Cheer Force – Firestorm raising $36,233
  • Maine Stars – Glory raising $33,275

This year, teams raised over $309,000! Thanks to the continued support from the All Star community, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food. Thank you to everyone who participated in Friday Night Live and helped in leading the fight to end childhood cancer!
