Darrell Bagby Represents Varsity Spirit as Part of the American Cancer Society’s Real Men Wear Pink Campaign

Memphis– Varsity Spirit – the global leader in cheerleading, dance team and band apparel, camps and competitions, and a division of Varsity Brands, the market leader in team sports, school spirit and achievement recognition – is pleased to announce that Darrell Bagby, Vice President of Operational Excellence, will represent Varsity Spirit as part of the American Cancer Society’s Real Men Wear Pink campaign, and has set a goal to raise $2,500 to help save lives from breast cancer.
Community leaders around the nation use the power of pink to raise awareness and money for the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer initiatives, including innovative research, patient services, and education around screenings and risk reduction.
“I am inspired to join 31 other candidates in the Greater Memphis area to join the fight against breast cancer”, says Darrell Bagby. “This group of Memphis community leaders is determined to raise awareness and funds to support the American Cancer Society’s mission and save more lives than ever before from breast cancer.”
Darrell will be wearing pink in many ways throughout October to promote breast cancer awareness. With the help of friends, family and his colleagues in the cheerleading, dance and band community, Darrell is determined generate enough donations to reach his fundraising goal, as well as cross the $1M threshold for the Greater Memphis Area’s goal.
