John Hutchinson

Chief Financial Officer

John Hutchinson has served as the Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer at Varsity Brands since January 2020. He is recognized for his strategic leadership and deep expertise in financial management, operational oversight, and corporate development.  

Prior to his role at Varsity Brands, John held several leadership positions at Apple Leisure Group, including as its president from 2018 to 2019, where he played a pivotal role in steering the company’s growth and refining its operational strategies. He also made substantial contributions at American Eagle Airlines as its Senior Vice President of Finance and Planning, managing diverse aspects for the airline’s $2 billion regional operations.  

John holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the Texas McCombs School of Business and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society. He received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a minor in Spanish from Brigham Young University.
