Burton Brillhart

Chief Legal Officer

Burton Brillhart is the Chief Legal Officer for Varsity Brands, joining the company in 2015 after helping lead the company’s effort to go private in 2014. Burton serves on the executive committee and oversees all legal efforts within the company.  

He is an experienced award-winning legal executive with a history of successfully building and leading legal and business teams in diverse industries, including private, private equity sponsored and regulated. Before joining Varsity Brands, Burton received his Doctor of Law from St. Mary’s University and served as Chief Legal Officer at Inspire Auto Finance Company, MGC Mortgage, Inc., a Member and Equity Partner at McGlinchey Stafford and a Member of the Board of Directors at PlayOn! Sports. In 2018, Brillhart played a key role when Varsity Brands was acquired by Bain Capital.

Burton is responsible for leading all legal matters at Varsity Brands and its divisions.
